Project Description
The DiabetAid project aims to develop a machine learning-powered clinical decision support system (CDSS) designed to assist doctors in providing personalized treatment recommendations for diabetes patients. Effective diabetes management requires individualized care, as each patient’s condition, medical history, and lifestyle are unique. DiabetAid addresses this need by analyzing key patient data—such as blood glucose levels, medication history, diet, and physical activity—and generating tailored treatment suggestions for healthcare professionals..
The system functions as a valuable tool for doctors, offering data-driven recommendations that complement their clinical judgment. These recommendations may include insulin dosage adjustments, optimal medication choices, dietary modifications, or exercise plans based on the patient’s specific needs. However, the final treatment decisions remain under the control of healthcare providers, ensuring that the system supports but does not replace their expertise.
DiabetAid enhances clinical decision-making by organizing patient data, identifying meaningful patterns, and suggesting actionable insights. It is not an automation tool but a support system that helps doctors make more informed, accurate, and timely decisions.
Through ongoing collaboration with hospitals and medical professionals, the system is continuously improved to align with clinical guidelines and reflect real-world healthcare requirements. DiabetAid empowers doctors to deliver personalized care, improving patient outcomes and enabling more efficient, data-driven diabetes management.
